Objectives:

To monitor the social impact of Problem Gambling on Young Men and their Families

Challenges:

There was a strict selection criteria based on habits; emotive and behavioural hurdles. Interviewing could only take place with 18-29yr old males

Solutions:

There was a 5 stage, points based, selection criteria programmed into WATI to screen and achieve quotas among very specific Problem Gamblers

 

Digital Television Switch Over

Objectives:

To measure the Nation’s rural and remote areas’ awareness, progress and any difficulties with access to Digital Television

Challenges:

Coordinating the data collection across more than 25 waves pre- and post-roll out

Solutions:

AFS set up project specific data collection and management routines to meet our client’s ability to process results quickly

 

Parenting Knowledge

Objectives:

To provide data on the way Australian parents of all types see their roles and responsibilities when it comes to kids

Challenges:

A truly representative study was needed to capture the voice of indigenous, refugee and low-income parents

Solutions:

AFS used LOTE protocols for elevated interviews and navigated the way through sensitivities with thorough role-play interviewer training
